Techotoys moved from Blogger to Self-hosted WordPress

by Rajesh Chaukwale on April 16, 2011

Hello friends. We have been together on Techotoys for last 4 months. We indeed had a great time discussing all hacking and security tricks on Techotoys. Today, I am really glad to inform you all that Techotoys has been moved to self-hosted WordPress platform. Also, now, the url i.e. the address of Techotoys has changed from http://techotoys.blogspot.com to

http://techotoys.net

Moving from Blogger to WordPress

Why moved from Blogger to WordPress???

Well, WordPress is the best blogging platform ever developed. With tons of plugins and customization hacks, WordPress makes blogging really easy. Blogger lacks most of these features. Also, the look and feel for wordpress blogs is far better than those for blogger ones.

I worked on Techotips(techotips.blogspot.com) for more than 1.5 year and Techotips had reached a traffic mark of more than 125,000 visitors per month. But, unfortunately, Blogger deleted Techotips ruining all my efforts. Recently, one of my friend’s blog was too deleted in a similar way. Also, I just read an article by Aaslin from Sensehow about Blogger deletion strategies. I don’t want to repeat the case with Techotoys and hence, in last few days, I worked on all domain, hosting and switching stuff. Finally, Techotoys has been moved to custom domain with self-hosting.

Please make a note of the change of address for Techotoys. (You can also use earlier blogspot address from which you will be redirected to this web address)

I hope you will enjoy the new look of Techotoys and looking forward to your views about this new edition of Techotoys. Suggestions are invited.

Glad that you moved to Wordpress. Wordpress have much more facilities than a Blogspot blog. I bet you, once you used Wordpress you will not go back to Blogspot again :)

But WordPress Hosting Need money.I use Free Hosting ,But there is lot of problems.I think Blog spot is better for Poor Men.We need some PHP knowledge for WordPress

You’re right. But, I guess that’s not a big deal. Your blog will compensate all the charges right from start. And once you get a boost in blog traffic, you will rule!!! Also, there is no such sort of PHP knowledge required. Infact, when it comes to coding, blogger requires more than WP. WP is simplified by use of plugins.

Well, I haven’t seen this link on many popular blogs. No one advised me to put that link. So… Anyways, will add it to Techotoys. Thanks for the suggestion.
